Rarely, will you read or hear about the 60+ survival programs the Black Panther Party launched to serve the community. Survival programs like the Free Food Program, provided free food to Black and other oppressed people. The Free Food Program provided the community with bags of fresh food containing items such as eggs, canned fruits and vegetables, chickens, milk, potatoes, rice, bread, cereal, etc. The Black Panther Party empowered the people by serving and educating the people.
